Kickstarter.

I am running a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds and make these balsa surfboards available to surfers all over the world. I need air-filtration in my shop and a CNC router to help keep the air clean and manage the work load. Please help by clicking here. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/437129222/flying-a-surfboards-high-performance-balsa-surfboa You can support me directly on Kickstarter, but just as importantly you can share this with all of your contacts. Sharing it with all your friends could potentially go a long way to getting this environmentally friendly surfboard company into full production and getting balsa surfboards under the feet of surfers everywhere. Thank you so much. - Josh Here are a couple new boards that just left the shop on the way to be glassed.

The #42

This model is called the #42. In Douglass Adams famous novel the #42 is the answer to Life the Universe and Everything. This is the board. Ride this thing in anything from waist high to double overhead. The rocker is for performance with 2.5" of tail rocker to wrap those turns in the pocket and stick late takeoffs in the pit. Concave to double spiral v out the back gives it a rush of speed when you connect with the source and also glides out on the shoulder. I put a 5 fin setup on it - quad for speed and barrels and drive - or a thruster for playful maneuverability. Wide point forward and a low entry rocker help make this a great all around shortboard. The 100% balsa construction makes it light and ultra durable. Order yours today.

"We are on a mission from God." - Elwood Blues

This 6' 4" Step-up is made for riding anything overhead. I gave it a low entry rocker to get into bigger waves with ease and a healthy ammount of tail rocker so steep drops feel controlled. The single wing pin tail is sharp and made for a high tight line and single to double concave will channel water out the back so high speed translates from rail to rail. This thing is tough (way stronger than foam) but still flexes and weighing in at 6.6 lbs it is virtually the same weight as a foam board.
The Soux Indian graphic on the bottom is fighter plane nose art from WW1 and a nod to the boards airplane wing construction roots.
It is handmade of 100% balsa in Carpinteria CA.

5'5" Chisel tip quad

This 5'5" quad is made for going fast on smaller waves. It has an almost flat rocker through the middle but has a bunch (2 inches) of tail rocker and a nice little nose flip to help you snap tight in the pocket or fly off the top. The rails are full and it has a nice generous single concave that starts halfway back and runs out through the slight diamond tail. The tail shape helps make this a fun, easy, fast and loose board while the quad set close to the rail makes it stick in the pocket. This is the go-to board for anything from slightly mushy to very mushy. Works great in the fun stuff too.

New 6'0" rounded pin

This rounded pin tail 6'0" is made to rip anything from waist high to head and a half, from slightly mushy to fast grinding barrels. It has a gentle single to double concave out the back, low entry rocker, and nice full rails, making it very user friendly and super fun to surf. Very strong, very fast and light hollow balsa wood. This one displaces about 32L of water.
